Well I heard he got amensia and became Germany and the France felt guilty for "killing" him and told Italy to forget about him.

It is the same basic idea. Many fans believe that Germany was once HRE (Holy Roman Empire) and that HRE was reborn/lost his memory in the battle against France and became the Germany we now know.

Its commonly referred to as the Germany is HRE Theory.

I hope that clears up some fan terminology

Well. *sigh* That was what I was saying but in short term. And I read enough Germany = HRE (I know what HRE stands for I love Hetalia) doujinshi andI got all of the stuff now.
